Biology Multimedia Projects
Plant Cell Biology was designed to illustrate several microscopic structures and phenomena to assist students who have difficulty visualizing material under a microscope. The module was designed to supplement, rather than replace, a hands-on lab activity.
An introduction to the cells and tissues of a typical dicot stem. Plant Anatomy Primer was originally developed to assist a class of introductory biology students with a particularly difficult lab exercise. The project proved to increase student engagement and success in the lab.
Guiding principle: Most effective instructional media is carefully chosen or developed to solve a conceptual problem that couldn’t be solved previously.
