Plant Cell Biology

Cyclosis, or cytoplasmic streaming,  is a microfilament–based movement of the cytoplasm. Since this movement requires energy in the form of ATP what advantage do you think this confers on the cells that undergo cyclosis? Notice also that the chloroplasts in these Elodea cells are moving along the edge of the cells. What does this tell you about the internal structure of a plant cell?
